A few days ago, aunty and uncle was cleaning up the storeroom. During the clean-up, they happen to find a hamster cage. Aunty was asking me whether i was keen to keep a hamster as a pet so she could give me the cage. And this idea of keeping a pet came up to my mind.

I was intending to keep a hamster at first. I talked to boyfriend about it and he agree with my idea of keeping a pet of our own. We went research on what kind of pet to breed, how to take care of them, what to take note of etc etc. I practically write down all the things that should be taken note of. The reason is, i want to keep a pet not out of an interest only. After all, it is a life. (;

Just as we decide what kind of hamster to keep, boyfriend saw a hamster forum and found out about another pet “Guinea pig”. At first, i thought it is costly to own one. But after reading some research, i found out that guinea pig is far better than hamster. It is bigger in size. And not only that, it is easier to tame compared to hamster which will bite people.

As mention, i should be out for a shopping spree today! And yup, we did so. We went to POM to find the magic shop. Then to Bugis Street to buy my clothes. And our last stop should be to Suntec city. But guess what?

We changed our mind. And we went Serangoon north to find Guinea pig together with boyfriend’s parents! There are loads of pet shops over there. But, there weren’t many guinea pigs there. But boyfriend managed to caught his attention on one! after consideration, we decided to buy it as the price is cheap and it was a cavy. i felt that it is better for us to take care from a young one rather an adult one. what's more, seeing it grow bigger sound interesting doesnt it?

Anyways, we actually went to the other shop to take a look at the pricing for the bedding material. And guess what. We actually asked the friendly uncle there to take a look at our pet. The first thing he asked was which shop did we went to buy this. We told him that we bought this at the shop beside his. His expression was something like “ohh, good luck” . We were really curious about it. So we continued by asking him why. He then told ask about how bad the shop is. This really shocked both of us. =/
Seeing both of us feeling so worried about our pet, he actually told us to go over to the other shop to let another person to take a look at it. And thank god. The person took a good look at it and claimed that he was alright. He even mentioned that his surviving rate is high!:D YAYS!

And so, this was the belated present for our one-year together! (; By the way, it is a male! (:
